So here are our top ten new lifestyle choices to consider, starting today, for the remainder of the year: 


   1. Drink lots of filtered water. Store in glass or polycarb containers which do not leach chemicals.  Invest in a shower filter as well.  Studies have shown that more toxic chemicals are absorbed through the skin taking unfiltered showers than they are by drinking tap water.

   2. Get adequate rest (hours between 10pm and 2am are most beneficial for healing)!  Sleep quality is a major factor in our health.

   3. Exercise moderately and regularly. Stretch before and after.

   4. Eliminate sodas, chips, donuts, fries, refined sugar and "enriched" flour.

   5. Eat your food as close to raw as possible. (Light steaming or sautéing is OK, frying is not!).

   6. Avoid chemical sweeteners like the plague! Use stevia, honey or raw sugar instead.

   7. Limit or avoid use of antibiotics and prescription or OTC drugs, especially statins and bone loss drugs.

   8. Read labels! Avoid deadly food additives like MSG, partially hydrogenated vegetable oils, trans fats and high fructose corn syrup.

   9. Avoid plastics -- do not microwave food in plastic containers, avoid storing food in plastic containers, avoid Styrofoam cups and containers, get rid of Teflon cookware and utensils.

  10. Use only natural, non-toxic cleaning supplies.
